Google Adwords: Earn Money on the Internet From Your Campaign
Posted by admin on March 19th, 2010
Earning money on the internet often means advertising. When it comes to return on investment, pay per click advertising is one of the most effective methods to generate traffic to your website. Frequently, those who click on pay per click ads are in the buying rather than browsing category. There are numerous pay per click platforms out there, but Google Adwords is the most popular.
Why use pay per click? If your are not showing up for some important keywords or if your site is entirely commercial and offers little or no content then pay per click is an advertising model that you may want to consider.
Google Adwords enables advertisers to place their ads in the right hand column of search results, instead of offering placement in the organic search engine results. It allows work at home sellers to reach their target market in other networks (search networks) such as Ask.com, AOL, and Netscape.
While Google Adwords is a handy tool for marketers who want to increase their conversion rate, like all tools, it has to be used properly if it is to be effective.
You need to manage your ad campaign carefully if you want success with Google Adwords. This means carefully paying attention to the following elements.
Keyword Selection: You want to choose relevant keywords that your buyer might use but they also have to accurately reflect your website’s offer. As a general rule, it is recommended that you avoid using broad or vague keywords.
For instance, if you sell skiing equipment avoid the keyword <>. These types of keywords will not help you earn money on the internet or working online, because users who search with these types of keywords are in the browsing phase. You want to attract serious buyers. Thus, keyword phrases and keyword variations such as <> or <> will be more effective.
Proper keyword selection requires research. There are quite a few keyword research tools available. Most work from home marketers use nichebot.com which charges a monthly fee and Keyword Elite which only charges a one time fee.
Keyword bidding: Bidding can get out hand, when it comes to Google Adwords. You need to carefully consider your budget and your business goal. Believe it or not bidding on the top spot can hurt your campaign more than help it.
Studies show that internet users click the number one spot out of impulse not necessarily because they are interested in your offer. So while you may receive a great deal of visitors you’re not receiving quality visitors that is-people who want to buy. The third, forth or even fifth position are more effective if you want to earn money on the internet or working online.
Writing ad copies for selected keywords: Your ad has to be compelling and clearly spell out the benefits of visiting your site. You only get a few seconds to convince someone to click on your ad so make sure your ad is concise, avoids repetition and identifies what is unique about your offer.
Google Adwords can greatly improve your conversion rate, if you take the time to research relevant keywords for your site and write an ad copy that entices the reader to click on your ad.
Work at Home with Google Adwords: How to be Successful?
Posted by admin on March 19th, 2010
Pay per click traffic is one of the best means ever devised for delivering traffic to your website. Even if you have a very small budget to work with you can still use pay per click advertising to jumpstart your online marketing. There are many pay per click platforms available but the most popular is Google Adwords.
Instead of offering placement in the standard search engine results, Google Adwords allows advertisers to place their ads in the right hand column of search results. Although Adwords can be a great tool in your overall internet marketing strategy, you need to be able to setup and manage your campaign properly in order for Adwords to actually be effective.
Using Google Adwords essentially consists of three elements: keyword selection, keyword bidding, and writing ad copy for the keywords you have selected. All three elements are crucial to the success of your adwords campaign. The easiest way to select your keywords is to use the keyword tool provided to you by Google. This tool is very basic and if you really want to see results you need to use a paid keyword research tool.
There are many keyword research tools on the market but by far the best ones are nichebot.com which charges a monthly usage fee and Keyword Elite which only charges a one time fee. For your campaign to succeed you need to identify as many low competition keywords as possible. Both nichebot.com and Keyword Elite allow you to do just that.
Keyword bidding is fiercely competitive with advertisers scrambling to be in the top advertising spots. The top three spots on Google Adwords are by far the most expensive and the number one spot is the most coveted. Interestingly, recent studies have shown that the number one advertising spot is not necessarily the most cost effective spot for your ad. Researchers found that internet users have a tendency to click on the number one spot impulsively rather than thoughtfully.
This means that the number one advertising spot actually receives many visitors who are not really interested in what the vendor has to offer. To get the most bang for your advertising buck, ignore the first three advertising spots and concentrate on being listed in the third, fourth, and fifth positions.
Your ad copy is what internet users actually see when they search for some of the keywords you bid on. Because you are competing with so many other advertisers, you have essentially just a few seconds to convince someone to click on your ad. This means that your ad really needs to stand out from the crowd. You need to use as many trigger words as possible within your ad and clearly spell out the benefits of the product or service you are promoting.
Don’t confuse benefits with features. A benefit explains how a product feature actually benefits the consumer. After your headline, the first line of your ad text should clearly lay out the benefits of your product or service. Don’t be afraid to make periodic changes to your ad. Google allows for automatic split testing so you can make a small change to one of your ads and then test your new ad against your old ad. Split testing is one of the keys to success of working at home with Google Adwords.
$500 in 5 Days for One Hour Work
Posted by admin on March 17th, 2010
I have not used Google Adwords from a long time to earn money from PPC based affiliate marketing. But recently I decided to give it a try and see how it works for me. I gave it a try and I made $500+ profit in 5 days for that one hour of my work. This post is about, how did I do it. I am sure you can do that as well very easily.
Here is how I went about doing it. This is step-by-step information on what I did exactly:
• First of all I registered a new account with Adwords and got $50 in free credit. Here is my older post about how can you get that free credit (valid only for new accounts).
• Next task was to find a good program which is high in demand, convert quite well, and does not have much competition. I did a lot of research to find out that online degrees is a niche which is high in demand, but has quite strong competition in PPC terms. And then, I found this program called Instant Degrees which is also in online degrees league but it is totally different concept and does not have ANY competition. So I decided to give it a try.
• I checked their affiliate program which pays 30% of the sale amount (means commission of: min: $36 and max: $63). That looked quite good to me. So I registered with their affiliate program (which is there on their homepage). Hired a sales writer and created a great landing page website.
• Then I setup my Adwords campaign with 3 AdGroups and around 10 different ads to see which type of ads works best. My daily budget was set to $100. Then my campaigns went live.
• For the first day, I got only two signup with a commission of $93 in total on my spend of $98. So that was a loss of around $5
• After seeing the results for 24 hours, I tweaked my campaigns and removed some non-performing ads and keywords. And for the day I got 5 signups and a commission of $199.5. Wow, that was good. I was happy, I knew I have hit the jackpot. So, I tweaked my campaigns little bit more and increased my budget.
• So overall in 5 days, I had spent around $800 and received commission of around $1600+ with Instant Degrees. After reducing the one time cost of the domain/hosting and sales letter on landing page, and also, after adding $50 free credit I got, it is clear profit of $500 in 5 days.
• Overall, I spent one hour on the first day and around 20 minutes for next 2 days to optimize my campaigns. Thats it. Now its on auto-pilot. I am expecting to make $100 to $150 per day with it. Lets see how it goes, I will update the post later as well to report my earnings on it.
• I used to same technique at Yahoo Search Marketing as well. There also I earned some money, which is not included in this $500. You can also get $100 free with yahoo search marketing. I have a post here about getting $100 free with them.
So, is it that easy to earn? Well, may be yes, may be no. There are few things you need to remember.
First of all, you need to research quite aggressively to find the right niche with high demand and less competition on Adwords. Find the right affiliate to advertise. I used instant degrees and you can use them as well.
Put some time on keyword research and find some good long tail keywords to bid on. Those long tail keywords converts quite well.
Create a very good landing page. This is the most important and difficult task to be done. So hire a very good sale copyrighter for this task. When I was creating the page for “Instant Degrees”, I had some different kind of challenges. This program looks too good to be true. The first impression the person gets is how in this world you can get a degree without studying. So I had following tasks on my landing page to be performed:
• Explain the visitor what it is about and how exactly it works.
• Convince the visitor that this is actually legitimate, as it is a career matter.
• Provide some proof and also some good testimonials.
I hired a guy and he did quite good job for me. So remember, to be successful in this program, you need to create a very good landing page, research some good long tail keywords and thats it.
So I hope you also get good results on such campaigns. Do post your results here.
Google Adwords Quality Score Checklist
Posted by admin on March 17th, 2010
Do you want your Google Adwords campaigns to cost you less, then you need to have a good quality score. Your position on google adwords ads is dependent on the amount of your bid and your quality score. So if you want to increase your rank on paid ads without increasing your bid, then you need to increase your quality score.
Here are some of the tips which you should use to get better quality score for your landing page:
1. Make your landing page on a website which has a old and reputable domain.
2. Your domain should have sufficient number of pages listed in Google. I think 50 is a sufficient number to start with. But more the better.
3. Have some backlinks from other websites/blogs to your landing page as well before going for full fledge with Adwords.
4. Optimize your landing page for the keywords you are bidding at (on-site optimization). This is very important.
5. Remember to have links from your landing page to your privacy policy, support and contact us page.
6. If possible provide phone number and address on support and contact us pages.
7. Your site should have some (I think 10 is a good figure) other pages (article pages?) related to your landing page.
8. Google is also having an overall quality score to your account. So your older account is going to work better than fresh new.
9. Use same “display URL” and “destination URL” if possible. Google thinks your url valuable enough that you actually want to show it.
Please remember that SEO optimized sales letter writing is an art. So hire a right person for the job.
Choosing Right Keywords for Google Adwords
Posted by admin on March 17th, 2010
This post is about how to select the right keywords for Google Adwords and how you can increase your click through rates and conversions.
Keyword Matching Options
There are three keyword matching options with Google Adwords:
1. Broad Match: In default match, the words or key phrase can appear in any order in the search. For example: making money – so all search like making money, money making, money making info, info on money making will show your ads. This can surely bring you the most number or impressions and clicks, but may not be very good for conversion as the search may not have to do anything with your keyword.
2. Phrase Match (””): When your keyword phrase is found exactly in the search sting. For example: “making money” – it will show for making money, making money online etc. but will not show for money making. This will bring you more targeted ads but visitors would be less.
3. Exact Match ([]) : When your exact key phrase is typed. For example: [making money] – it will only show your ad only when person types making money. It will bring the the most targeted but very less number of visitors
So remember that broad match can bring you more traffic but may not convert very well, but phrase match and exact match will bring converting traffic but quite less. So do your tests (you may add all three to see how much CTR and conversion each gets) and select the keywords which are performing.
Negative Keywords
Many people does not use any negative keywords at all for their campaigns. This is one of the most common and most dangerous mistakes. To use negative keywords, just add “-” (without quotes) in front of the keywords. Sometime negative keywords are must. For example, if you are trying to sell a paid photo software and person is looking for “free” photo software. So if you are trying to sell paid stuff, always remember to use free as your negative keyword. This will increase your click through rate and will will increase your conversion rate. Given below are some of the most common negative keywords I use:
-free
-complementary
-survey
-download
-downloads
-freeware
-shareware
-expert
-games
-demo
-customer care
-pics
-pictures
-picture
-images
-article
Methods of finding keywords
Use following resources to find keywords related to your product:

• Google Zeitgeist
• Top 100 lists on Amazon.com

Finding Cheap Keywords
• Most people using adwords use “Google Adwords Keyword Tool” to find keywords. So my suggestion, use other tools to find keywords which are cheap.
• Use spelling variations, multiple spellings (eg: mail, email, e-mail), spelling errors, plurals, past tenses, synonyms, regional spellings(optimise, optimize), abbreviations, acronyms, and related keywords.
• Use seasonal keywords based on upcoming festival, times and events (eg: gifts, Christmas gifts, mother’s day gifts, father’s day gifts etc.).
Thats all for now, if you would like to share any tips/trick or resources for helping in finding the right keywords for the adwords, please post your comments.
Adwords Remote Conversion Tracking
Posted by admin on March 17th, 2010
Do you use Adwords to make money online from CPA based affiliate networks like like Commission Junction or ClickBank, AffiliateFuel etc.? If yes, then you need remote conversion tracking (a new term I just thought) to optimize your campaigns. So what is this remove conversion tracking? Read on…
Do you optimize your campaigns? How do you do that? Do you keep high CTR keywords and delete low CTR keywords? If you are doing this you may be doing one of the biggest mistakes in the PPC world. Remember that high CTR does not mean more money to you, it just means more money to Google. There is a very high probability that high CTR keyword is one of the biggest money drainer for your campaign. How do you find it out and correct it? For that you need to do remote conversion tracking of campaigns.
What is Remote Conversion Tracking
In simple example, it will tell you what keywords from your Adwords campaign made that sale in your Commission Junction account. Not just Commission Junction, but it can be used with any of the CPA or sale based affiliate programs.
If you are running an in-house affiliate program or selling something in-house, it is easier to track the conversion. But how to do that for advertising networks like Commission Junction, ClickBank and AffiliateFuel? This is where this remove conversion tracking is required.
In simple terms this is what you need to do if you have a landing page. I will just explain each of them in detail.
• Pass the keyword for which the person clicked on your ad, to your page through a query string variable in your Adwords’ URL.
• Get that variable on the page and append it into the SID or TID of advertising network’s referral link.
• Check your account on advertising network to see the keywords which actually converted.
• Now optimize your campaign based on these results, and not just CTR results
So, this is actually the process of passing the query the user made at Google search engine, to the page, and from there to the advertising network.
This is how it is to be done. Let say, in your Adwords campaign your destination URL is set to:
http://www.yoursite.com/landingpage.php
And, this is the page where you are selling some product from Commission Junction. You need to use a feature of Adwords called “dynamic keyword insertion” to change your destination URL to:
http://www.yoursite.com/landingpage.php?q={keyword}
Lets say the search engine user searches for “hot widgets” in the search engine and click on your page, the url with become
http://www.yoursite.com/landingpage.php?q=hot%20widgets
Now the next task is to put this keyword into your affiliate link ( Here lets say Commission Junction link ). You can use following php script to do so.
Anchor’;
} else {
echo ‘Anchor’;
}
?>
In Commission Junction, you can use “sid” in the url to track it. Similaryly in ClickBank you can use “tid” to track it.
ClickBank’;
} else {
echo ‘ClickBank’;
}
?>
Are you using wordpress and worried about how to put that php code in the post or the page? No problem. There is a solution to it as well. You can use a wordpress plugin called phpexec. After installing the plugin just embed the above code into into and . For Example:

ClickBank’;
} else {
echo ‘ClickBank’;
}
?>

Now you can just see which keywords in your Adwords campaigns are doing wonders for you and which are not. So optimize your campaigns based on these results and make some more money online.

Google Adsense Adwords Referral $600 Bonus
Posted by admin on March 17th, 2010
It seems my lucky days are not over. Three days back, I got an offer for my site which helped me make 10 times more from that site. Then yesterday, I won a $250 worth of advertising on JohnChow.com.
Then I checked my Google Adsense account and was little surprised to see my Adsense Referrals earnings for Adwords ( ) I usually make around $5 to $50 a day from Adwords referral program at Adsense. But today, it was showing earnings of $735.00 for 7 conversions..
When I checked the details of the Adwords program, I found this:
1. When referral spends $5.00 (in addition to the $5.00 sign-up fee) within 90 days of sign-up, you will be credited with $5.00
2. When that same advertiser spends $100.00 within 90 days of sign-up, you will be credited with an additional $40.00
3. If, in any 180-day period, you refer 20 advertisers who each spend more than $100.00 within 90 days of their respective sign-ups, you will be awarded a $600.00 bonus
So, it seems today is the day when 20 of my referred advertisers crossed $100 each in their 90 days and I got that free BONUS.
So what I got is 1 * $600 (bonus) + 3 * $40 (referrals who spent $100) + 3 * $5 (referrals who spent $5) = $735.00
And, most people may not know it, but I advertise Adwords referral program on this blog only. So this bonus is also from the earnings of this blog.
Here is the screenshot of it.

So is it just pure luck? Well, no. I think its the hard work I have been doing on this blog to monetize it.
Do you advertise Adwords referrals? How well are you doing? If you did not get your bonus, work harder and you will get it too.
Quick Adwords Tip
Posted by admin on March 17th, 2010
Do you run PPC campaigns though Adwords? Is your website targeted to some specific area where people understand/speak other language as well? For example, Hindi in India.
What about writing your ads in a local language (like Hindi) for your targeted visitors in that area. For one of my local portals, I was running cam site-targeted campaign. My ad copy written in hindi (my local language) got me 12 times (1100%) more click through that the same ad in English. In my case, there was nothing to convert, so I am not sure about the conversion rate, but CTR would surely be higher.
